Quite a scare...

Poor Cady

Ambulance Ride

Happy to be home!

A little over a week ago, Cady started having tummy pains that seemed to get worse and closer together over two days (reminded me of labor :)). We all just thought she had a little stomah bug after she threw up on the second night. She continued to complain of pain, but in between was totally normal and playful. I had a gut feeling something wasn't right. She would pull at her skin on the right side of her stomach so I began to get concerned about her appendix. I took her to the pediatrician who sent us home with nausea medicine, but two hours later I took her to the ER where she was then ambulanced to Texas Children's Hospital. She had a condition called intussusception where her colon had telescoped on itself and caused a blockage. It was corrected with a procedure involving an enema :( and luckily she has been fine since. They say there is a chance for reoccurance, but we are praying that she is well. The thought of surgery terrified me, but Cady was a trooper and got through without it :) We love you Cadybug!!!! Thank you to all our family and friends for the prayers....and sweet gifts :)

Getting ready to start the day...

Sea World has always been a favorite for Seth and I ever since we went to the one in Orlando (when we got engaged). Jadyn has been once when she was almost one year old and I was six months pregnant with Cady...in June....not a good idea if you have an issue with heat :). Anyway, we were lucky enough to take a trip to San Antonio with some of our most favorite people in the world right before Spring Break - The Millards!!!! We went to Sea World, had dinner with Shamu, , the Riverwalk, the Alamo, and even stayed at the Hyatt Hill Country (where Seth and I spent some time at on our honeymoon).

And now....A Green Belt.

Jadyn and her sweet friend Avery got their green belt!!!!! These are two tough little girls!!!!

My Texas Girls

I have true Texans....and I am a little partial, but I think they are adorable. Here are my little cowgirls posing - and Jadyn with her newest cowboy, Brendan :)

Piggies and Paws

If you have never been to a Piggies and Paws party and you have a little one...you should go!!!! We all had a blast getting prints of our hands and feet for the artist to create a masterpiece. Most of all I think all the kids had fun having one big playdate!

The Cruise....and a new Uncle Brian

The girls and I went on our first cruise!!! SO much fun playing, eating, and then eating some more :) Unfortunately, Seth did not get to go because of a project at work...or maybe it was his fear of motion sickness :). We were happy to spend time with Stacy and Brian after their wedding...yes, we went on their honeymoon!!!! It was a lot of fun, but cady was running a high fever on Valentine's night so she and I had a date night with room service :). All of us had such an amazing time and can't wait to go again. This time we all want Seth to come and share in the memories....I ran up quite a text and phone bill because I missed him so much!

Family vacation....as Snow Bunnies!

PS ...Seth is so embarrassed by his scarf...I promise he was holding it for the girls :)

We took our first vacation of the year to ski in New Mexico and WOW!!!! We had an amazing time. We were able to spend time in both Angelfire and Taos. The girls loved the snow and we all enjoyed some good family time skiing, snowmobiling, tubing, relaxing, sitting in the hot tub, playing games, taking a sleigh ride, drinking hot chocolate, roasting marshmallows, napping, and just laughing together. Seth and I got to have some alone time skiing together whle the girls took ski school. The little ones are amazing when it comes to road trips...NOT ONE COMPLAINT!!!! I have a million pictures (as usual), but here is just a glimpse. We are looking forward to our first family cruise over Valentine's Day...I think my girls are going to be little travelers.
